My name is Sylvia Stein and welcome to my new blog on word press. I am published author now.  My anthologies are on amazon, and Barnes and Nobles.  I have a total of 4 of them from working with my writers 750 which was started by the amazing Heather Marie Schuldt.    I wanted to also take the time to give a big shout out to Melissa Foster and the World Literary Cafe even with all of her amazing success as a best-selling author.  Melissa always finds a way to pay it forward.  Especially with the World Literary Cafe Community and their amazing authors and writers.  I also am so happy to be a part of Melissa’s Awesome Support Team where I have met some incredible writers /authors and which I also consider friends.  Also to my Writers Gathering at SNHU where I am taking online classes for my Master’s in Creative Writing and English.     I also needed to give a big shout out to my wonderful husband Jeremy, my children.    I would of never pursued this dream without their support.   Also many thanks to all of my family and friends here in North Carolina, Brownsville Texas, Michigan and Midland!   Another Big Shout out to the best in laws ever Mom and Dad you guys are awesome. Especially to the best mother in law Kathie Stein.  Thank you for inspiring me to pursue my dreams!   Last but not least I want to Thank God and my faith for without none of this would ever be possible.    I am now getting ready to release my first solo Novella entitled, Closure and all I can say I am really living a dream!  Many Thanks!

  1. Sylvia,

I congratulate you on your stick-to-it attitude. Only the believers can succeed.

I do not know why you decided to follow me. I have written very little on my own, but I have offered critiques occasionally.

This, your original post, contains a couple of things that I have suggestions for: 1) entitlements (entitled) are things that people have a right to. Titles are names books, magazine articles, etc. 2) You might want to avoid starting two sentences in a row with the same word (other than “The” or “a”). You start two sentences in a row with the word “However”. I know that blogs are more casual than would be the final copy for print, but if you look over your stuff before printing it, you will make a better impression (at least on fuddy-duddies like me).

Thanks again for the opportunity to comment.

    1. Dear Mr. tosti,

Thanks so much for the compliment and the advice. I think you have to have critiques in order to grow- so I welcome them.
I also appreciate all the advice you have given and I will make sure to apply it to get better! And your comments are always welcome!

  3. Hi Sylvia,

I just finished reading your interview on one of my favorite indie author’s site.

I absolutely love how open you are to your readers about your childhood, upbringing and family life. I’m already a fan!

I’m also looking forward to reading all four of your anthologies and can’t wait to read your trilogy. When can we expect the release of your first book from your trilogy series?

Looking forward to reading more of your work and watching you soar up that “literary ladder”!
Thank you for including us in your world!

    1. Dear Sarah,

Thank you so much. This means so much. I am deeply grateful. I am humbled by your kind words. I owe all my writing to my upbringing and childhood. I am so glad you liked it and that you are a fan. I can not wait to have all the Anthologies come out. I hope they all receive the same response as the first one has been doing so far. As far as my Trilogy- that is being worked out. I hope to be able to have it come out later this summer or early next year. I am looking forward to showing all of my readers – this psychological thriller. Again, I am very humbled by your words of encouragement! Thank you for including me in your world as well. For without you the fans (readers) we would not be here!

  4. Hi,
I came by way of WLC. My best wishes on your journey. You can do it! I was trying to connect with your Network Blog link but no luck! Let me know when you finish your book! I’d love to read and give you some feedback!

    1. Dear Michelle,

Thanks so much for the well wishes- I just went to your blog. I also am glad we connected through the WLC! I already added the right code on the network blogs so you are able to connect now. I will definitely let you know once my books is completed. Right now I do have an Anthology that came out with a Writers group on LinkedIn. It is called Giant Tales Beyond The Mystic Doors and I along with 15 other authors published 4 stories each. We have it on Amazon as an ebook to download to your Kindle. Hope you like it.

  5. I found your great blog through the WLC Blog Follows on the World Literary Cafe! Great to connect! Hope to see more from you 😀

  6. I wanted to stop by and say thank you for following me (www.ninasoden.wordpress.com) and to wish you luck with your writing goals. It isn’t easy trying to write while running a house, raising kids, and working… believe me I know, but when you finish that first book and publish – its all worth it. It is an amazing wonderful feeling. I know you will get there!

    1. Dear Nina,

Your most welcome and thanks for the well wishes . I wish you the same. No it is not easy being mom, wife and trying to be a writer/ author with young children. As you know how hard that can be, but the key is to keep writing and yes keep working on the first book and publishing it makes it all worth it. Yes it will be one amazing feeling. Yes I am working hard for that and thank you so much !

  7. I am so proud and excited for you! I can’t wait see what the future will bring for you. You’re a wonderful and encouraging friend, and I am so glad we meet. Continue to write and shine brightly, and remember “Be the person you want to be NOT the person people want you to be.” *hugs* and God Bless, Jeni.
