Welcome to my first official “We are the World Blogfest” (#WATWB ) post. The #WATWB was inspired by a simple conversation about how all the negativity on social media was weighing on us. Wanting to make a difference we decided to try to do our part to infuse social media with all the good stories that are out there. We hope to share the stories that show kindness, compassion, hope, overcoming challenges and in general, the impressive resilience of the human spirit. For every dark, negative story out there, there is a positive, heartwarming story that will add some light and lift the human spirit. Each month we bring to you the We Are the World Blogfest, along with these fabulous co-hosts:
This month’s co-hosts are #33 https://simonfalk28.wordpress.com/“Simon Falk, http://inderpreetuppal.com/“Inderpreet Kaur Uppal,https://maryjmelange.wordpress.com/” Mary J. Giese, https://drkillpatient01.wordpress.com/“Peter Nena and https://bwitzenhausen.wordpress.com/“Belinda Witzenhausen.
I am so happy to be a part of this amazing Blogfest. In this week’s post for We are the World Blog Fest I am going to focus on a podcast which focuses all their attention on focusing on being positive and spreading the message on how to live a happier life and be a more positive person while teaching today’s youth on how to deal with the anxieties and life stresses which can sometimes overwhelm us. “This podcast which is rightfully titled infinite positivities and is hosted by former Glee Alum Jenna Ushkowitz brings about topics which are geared to show not just today’s young adults but people of all ages how you can live a positive life by taking a topic of her book which was titled, Choosing Glee and dividing each show into chapters of her book and covering a theme as she speaks to authors, experts, and others who look at life in a positive outlook.”
Ushkowitz states, “My perspective on positivity is that it’s a choice and I don’t know if everybody looks at it that way,” she explained in a phone interview. “The goal is to have people think differently than [how they did when they started listening.”
This is why when I started listening to her podcast last year and I found it to be refreshing as in each chapter she would focus on aspects like introvert/ extrovert and the anxieties that come with It, and others who share advice on how to be bold, and speak up for yourself, and on how important it is to take care of oneself.
I enjoy seeing people who are actors, writers, singers who go on the podcast and speak on a one to one level and take the time away from all the glitz and glamor and give advice which can help people carry on a more positive outlook in their own lives but I love how they are changing the lives of today’s youth.
Moreover, I enjoyed this story because all of the topics covered by Jenna Uskowitz which are uplifting and talk about how to help oneself with issues in life that can sometimes seem like so much. It is nice to hear all of the wonderful guests who come on her show and share things about themselves which help other listeners especially the young viewers who in today’s world seem to need more inspiration and affirmations to guide them along the way. I hope you will check it out.
